Wobbly Wallet is a pub guide iPhone app dedicated to all London night owls and Pub goers!
The idea for this pub guide app was born when, as with so many times, the last order bell struck and we found ourselves in front of closed pub doors in central London just after 11pm. After several hit a miss walks to other pubs we decided to develop an app for late pub nights out in London.
Sixth months on and we are now in the middle of the development. Our iPhone app is supposed to show all London pubs on Google maps plus their remaining opening hours/minutes in form of a reversed countdown above its location. Additionally, the app will list all taxi company numbers in your area based on your current GPS location. This way, you get back home safely after you've had a couple. Further plans include a pub description including pictures and user reviews, navigation from one pub to another and an augmented reality feature.
With currently around 3,000 out of around 9,000 London pubs crawled and put on our data base, a first running 1.2 alpha version developed for iPhone, and a successfully search engine optimised (seo) website plus social media profiles up and running, we are definetively now in need of a booster of £10k in order to take the project to the next level. We simply need to pay for further marketing/advertisement, server costs plus an Android developer.
We are absolutley dedicated to become Londons No 1 late night pub guide app!! We would love to launch the app just before the Queen's Jubilee since that occasion is just perfect to test drive the app in the wild. And with an extra million tourists during London 2012 we are planning the big break through. The target group of our iPhone app Wobbly Wallet are London pub goers, tourists and party people.
